Real FFmpeg compression — not a renamed file

OneFileKit compresses videos on the server with FFmpeg. Metadata comes from ffprobe, thumbnails are generated from real frames, and download sizes are measured from actual output bytes.

Presets adjust quality settings — they do not promise a fixed percentage reduction. If the output is larger, we show the increase honestly.

Animated or complex sources may vary. Unsupported codecs and containers are rejected with clear customer-safe messages.

Frequently asked questions

Which video formats can I compress?
Common formats FFmpeg can process: MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MKV, WebM and MPEG/MPG. We validate the container signature and streams — renaming will not work.
Will my video always get smaller?
Usually, but not always. Already-efficient videos may not shrink much, and some settings can increase size. We always show the real output size and reduction or increase.
Can I target an exact file size?
Yes. Enable target size and we estimate bitrate from duration. Exact targets are not always achievable; if we miss, we report that clearly.
Can I compress multiple videos at once?
Yes. Upload a batch, compress together, then download individually or as a ZIP of successful outputs.
