Real HEIC/HEIF conversion — not a renamed file

OneFileKit decodes HEIC and HEIF on the server, applies orientation correctly, converts color to RGB, and encodes a real JPG (or PNG/WebP when you choose).

Preview and download sizes come from actual encoded output. If the JPG is larger than the HEIC, we show the increase honestly — we never invent a fixed reduction percentage.

JPG cannot keep transparency. When a HEIF image has an alpha channel, we flatten it onto a white background and warn you in the UI.

Which files can I convert?
HEIC and HEIF images (.heic, .heif) are accepted. We validate the file container, not just the extension.
Will converting always make the file smaller?
Not always. HEIC is often already efficient. We show the real output size after conversion — including when JPG is larger.
Will my iPhone photos stay upright?
Yes. Orientation is applied during conversion so portrait and landscape photos display correctly in the JPG.
