Preparing tools — PDF rendering starts after you upload a file.

  • Draw, Type or Upload

Create a signature that fits how you sign — then place it on the page.

  • Live Placement

Move, resize and preview signatures on the real PDF before download.

  • Electronic Signature

This places a visual signature appearance — not a certificate-based digital signature.

  • Private & Secure

Uploads stay private and are deleted after retention.

How to Annotate a PDF?

Draw, type or upload your signature or initials.

  3. 3

  4. 4

Export a new signed PDF. The original is never overwritten.

Electronic signatures for everyday documents

OneFileKit lets you add a visual electronic signature appearance to a PDF — along with initials, dates, text, check marks and stamps. Placement uses the same PDF editor engine as Edit PDF and Annotate PDF.

This is not the same as a certificate-based cryptographic digital signature that proves identity with a public-key certificate. Do not treat a placed signature image as verified legal digital signing for every jurisdiction or workflow.

Signature images you choose to save stay in your browser unless you explicitly save them and account features support it. We do not store signature strokes or images in analytics.

Security & privacy

  • Uploads are validated by extension, MIME type and PDF structure.
  • Signature images are validated and size-limited.
  • The original uploaded file is never overwritten.
  • Downloads require a secret token bound to your job.
  • Analytics never store signatures, names or document contents.
