Frequently asked questions

  • What TXT encodings are supported?

    UTF-8 is preferred. We also attempt UTF-16, Windows-1252 and Latin-1 when needed. Complex encodings may need to be saved as UTF-8 first.

  • Will every character look perfect?

    No. Rendering depends on available fonts. Common Latin text renders cleanly; uncommon scripts may fall back or substitute characters.

  • What is the maximum file size?

    By default, TXT to PDF accepts uploads up to 10MB (configurable by administrators), with page and character limits for safety.

  • Is the live preview identical to the final PDF?

    The preview approximates pagination and wrapping for the first few pages. The downloaded PDF is the authoritative output.
