Split PDFs your way

OneFileKit Split PDF lets you divide a PDF into smaller documents by page range, extract only the pages you need, or save every page as its own PDF. Download a single file or a ZIP when multiple outputs are created.

We preserve page content, dimensions and rotation where practical. Unusual features such as complex bookmarks may not carry over — we do not claim lossless preservation of every PDF feature.

Frequently asked questions

  • What split modes are available?

You can split by page ranges (one PDF per range), extract specific pages into one PDF, or create a separate PDF for every page.

  • When do I get a ZIP file?

When a split produces more than one PDF, you can download each file individually or download all as a ZIP archive.

  • Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted PDFs cannot be split until they are unlocked. Remove the password and upload again.

  • Does extract mode keep my page order?

Yes. Extract mode keeps the exact page order you enter (for example 5,1,3).

Security & privacy

  • Each file is validated by extension, MIME type and PDF magic bytes.
  • Password-protected PDFs are rejected with a clear message.
  • Page ranges are validated against the real server-side page count.
  • Uploads and outputs live in private storage — never under public web paths.
  • Download links require a secret token bound to your job.
  • Temporary files are deleted automatically after a configurable retention period.
